Farmer
I have a NEW centerforce stage one clutch and got the bearing to go with it. Now its been about 16 years since I've changed out a clutch on my old 620. I dont remember having to press off or press on the actual bearing onto the part where the clutch fork slips over. The bearing from centerforce is just the bearing by itself. Any help would be great Larry Quote Link to comment
fiveNdime
Likewise. I had a centerforce on my 280 motor and I don't recall having to press anything on at all. Quote Link to comment
phatdave
Yes you do. Or you can set the collar into a vice and fit a socket into the opening between the collar and the bearing...use a rubber mallet and a piece of cloth and tap it out. dd:fu: Quote Link to comment

You're too kind with it Dave. If removing, it's the old one.... beat it with a hammer!!! Be sure to pack the new one with grease and fill the cavity inside the collar too. Quote Link to comment

kiznook
Wouldn't ANY brand throwout bearing require the same installation? Quote Link to comment
