If the motor was the good running motor I was told it was, then I wouldn't be.

 

I just don't have the time nor the money to fix that correctly. The car itself is good...everything works nicely...just the engine is the problem. Might be as simple as valve seals or a head swap to someone that knows more about them, but, I'm not digging into it anymore. It starts and runs and I want it to stay like that so I can show the potential new owner. Starts right up, but smokes blue and smells of oil.

 

But...just reassures the fact I'll never get a motor that is "good running" unless I can see it for myself or have the intention on going through it.

I wonder if you did a sea foam treatment if that would clear up the blue smoke and oil smell.

It might help...I'm going to run some brake fluid in it to try and swell the seals back up...as long as its not the rings.

 

Plugs were pretty oil caked though.

yea i hear ya. been there. almost sold my truck cause of issues. sux the motor turned out to be f'd up. GLWS.

Yea...not much I can do now...oh well. On the good side...the trans shifts nicely and rear end doesn't growl...haha.
