Lot of guys have done this swap. Doesn't take long if you get the right parts L-series parts. Swapping the rear axle is the hardest part.

Engine + transmission from 1977-1979 200SX or 1978-1979 510 will fit right in. Use the 1200 automatic driveshaft. Already has the right rear crossmember, but may need to be reversed. You can use B210 or B310 H150 center pumpkin, but it is marginal strength. A young driver will probably break it.

Minor fabrication

* Cut engine crossmember towers down, weld flat plates at same angle as L20 crossmember. Or adapter plates for the 1200 engine mounts might work.

* Throttle cable adaptor

* Wiring length & location changes

* Radiator mounting (use flat plates to space out the stock bolt holes)

* Radiator hoses

* electric fan

Major fabrication

* Exaust piping. use larger pipe and muffler than 1200 came with

* Fit a H165 rear end assembly. 710 or A10 can work, but needs wheels with more positive offset as these are wider. Needs a shorted driveshaft

OR, just spend $2500 hopping up the A12. Oops, that still won't make as much power as the stock L20B.
