atkinson40
Removed the In/Exhaust manifolds to find an exhaust leak and found the gasket all rusty around the holes that circulate H2O through the intake manifold. Its only been about 500 miles since I changed the gasket. Further inspection shows pitting around the holes on the head. Damm. Any way to fix this short of removing the head and having that surface resurfaced? TIA Kevin Quote Link to comment
Sealik
New gasket....and slightly slathered with a high heat RTV sealant? My intake manifold was also leaking....so I blocked off the hose and plugged the fitting Edited December 27, 2011 by Sealik Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Run good quality antifreeze coolant to reduce galvanic action between different metals. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
"good quality" means to me go buy some brand new antifreeze/coolant. Does any major store in North America sell bad quality antifreeze? Quote Link to comment
