Futofab, ermish, me I will say that Aluminum is structurally as strong as the steel but is not impact resistant like steel. Dent city. So if you drive your car as a daily one then go steel for impact durability. If you have great roads, aluminum is just as reliable. :) But many arguments can be made about several modern cars with cast aluminum control arms with zero issues. Quote Link to comment
housew Posted May 31, 2014 Report Share Posted May 31, 2014 Yea, being an engineerd I realize saying it's aluminum is like saying I drive a car. Is it Ferrari or a geo? It could be awesome or craptastic depending on alloy, fabrication process, heat treatment ect, anb by the price and reviews im guessing the latter. i have nothing against Al, love the stuff.
