turbino
What s the number or name for the Weber? It will go on a j13 Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Weber 32/36 is too large for a J13. Unless you plan on running it often at 6000 RPM, a Hitachi 306 is better below 5000 RPM. These come on newer engines like the B210. No Weber will be tuned for the J13, so after you get it, plan on having someone tune it for you. If you are going to get one, go with a Weber DGEV. It has a one wire electric choke which is foolproof. Quote Link to comment
turbino
Would the Hitachi fit right on the manifold?I need to buy other parts to make it fit? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Unknown. What size is your carburetor? The Hitachi 306 bolt pattern is 80mm x 43mm. Hitachi 340 (as used by L-series engines) has a larger bolt pattern. Weber DGV (32/36) has the largest at 93 x 46mm Quote Link to comment
turbino
Ive been using my little truck but still has carb issues i hit the gas tuns perfect but then it spudders whata f*** ... Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
This could be many things. Engine off look down the carb with the choke held open and pump the gas.... you should see a strong squirt of fuel into the primary. This is absolutely necessary for transitioning the motor from idle to revved up, even more so if under a load like in second gear going around a corner. Weak or sputtering or no squirt means the accelerator pump is not working. Quote Link to comment
