Front pickup sump/oil pan for an L18?

Does anyone know which model came with a front sump that will bolt up to my L18. I need to clear the cross-member in my 1200 so the rear mount wont work. I've talked to a few guys on datsun1200.com and they all sourced them from models not in north america.

I should have added that those cars don`t exactly grow on trees either..And i am going to throw in a couple of shots of pan, since engine is still scattered all over garage right now..

I probably have one of these if you get stuck (but I'm in England) as we had these on 810 and 910 models. (L16/L18 powered)

Cars were front sump.

Trucks were rear.

 

Go look for a 610 with an L18, or a 510 with an L16.

z20E was front sump too. (200sx motor)

Older 510s ( the type you know as 510 ) are rear sump, trucks are a middle-ish rear ... my sons 79 510 is that newer squared off style.

 

I have no dealings with 610s though

If there is one on the z20e i could probably just buy the set up new eh? or even the later 510?

well i called around and didn't have any luck at a new oil pan for the L20b or z20e.

 

Do you know if the pick up is the same?

 

i'm thinking that i could take the old oil pan, cut off the bottom then turn it around and weld it back on. I'm wondering though if i still need to find the pick up or if the old one will work and i just turn it around also.

I may have a spare Z20E pan that I'll be willing to get rid of. I'll have to go dig through my stash
