Rustina 510
Ok, front end is just about done, last things to do today is bleed out the chocolate brake fluid, adjust the rear brakes, fix the e brake, and fix all the hoses and vacume leaks and I want to take the carb apart and clean it and adjust it to run better to stop the final sputtering she does at low rpm. Oh and get a new choke cable and get the heater hose The gas pedal sticks too so I'll take all the linkage apart and clean it and get it perfect Plus I installed a new cap and rotor and airfilter!!!! Good thing is she doesn't leak a drop of oil!!! Quote Link to comment

DatDoug
If you look closer you can see that he has 2 return springs  Quote Link to comment
izzo
That was mu doing. I put the first one on and its really weak. So I put a higher tension one on and just left the other there. They only like to be bent once. After that they break. It had two on it when I bought it and im guessing due to it being so sloppy. Quote Link to comment
Rustina 510
After looking into it. It isn't the linkage, te the part on the carb that is turned by the linkage, I'm going to take it apart and clean it and oil it and see if that fixes the sticky gas pedal. Her maiden voyage is tomorrow for work!!! Wish us luck!!!!!! Quote Link to comment
izzo
You sure man? i tested it a few times and it binds up at the linkage attached to the firewall. right where the C Clip is Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
You could see the part on the carb have a physical click when returning and you could hear it, you can reproduce it with your hand right at the carb without touching the rest of the linkage. Quote Link to comment

Did you get any pics of his car lowered? Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Did you get any pics of his car lowered? Sadly no. I was in the middle of texting a friend and he was in the middle of going in for dinner. What I can say is Imagine the wheel gap of the front being the same as the wheel gap in the back now. izzo
Very nice man. Once he gets that carb figured out, and the popping stopped he should be good to go. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
I put some 10w40 in the my goon so I could drive it over. Seemed to help quite a bit with the burning. Sunday we got it running much better (distributor just needed to be turned) Its just at idle its kinda rough I believe. It did do a one wheel burnout in the rain on the old wheels. izzo
 Nice. I think he'd be better off getting a matchbox in there. And from what it seems, a really good carb cleaning or a different carb. Quote Link to comment

izzo
I think you can have them put the weight on the inside, instead of outside. keep your rim from getting ugly... You can see where the weights were on my truck. they aren't there anymore and i get a slight shake at 55-60 Quote Link to comment
Guest kamakazi620
If you look closer you can see that he has 2 return springs  Ohh You means the two Oversized springs that have no tension on them? Quote Link to comment
ariascarlos1990
620 pedal and cable ftw. Quote Link to comment
Rustina 510
Actually it wasn't even the linkage, it was the carb. The peice where the linkage connects to the carb, it was all messed up on the carb so I took it all apart and cleaned it really good and pit it back together and it doesn't stick at all now and is really responsive!!! Yay! Quote Link to comment
