atkinson40
I thought my tranny was leaking, but now I'm thinking maybe the rear main seal is hosed and it's blowing oil back over the bottom of the tranny pan to make it look like its leaking. Can the rear main seal be replaced if the tranny/clutch/flywheel is removed? Thanks Kevin EDIT: Just read this in another post. "once a motor uses oil its pretty much the way it is till its rebuild. But if you could post a photo of the driver side of motor so you can see the valve cover the the crank case vent pipe maybe there is a hose routed wrong where its overpressurizing the crank case.Or plugged" What is this talking about? banzai510(hainz)
clean motor and see where the leak is comming from. I seen the stock oil sending units leak.run down and make like the pan is leaking. Is yoour PVC sysytem hooked back up correctly? If yes then dont worry about the plugged statement A photo of drivwr side engine will be needed to see this. But I will assume its good As for the statement once they use oil( You drive them out of oil) they become oil burners(wore out) Quote Link to comment
