B13LTDAN
I'm pretty sure the backfiring is because his car uses an Antilag system....... just sayin. He did not have an anti-lag on that fiesta. He probably hit the jump at the top of second or third and he was bouncing rev limitier. Causing unburnt extremely high octane fuel to travel through the cylinder into a near red hot turbo/exhaust, so either the ambient exhaust or heat soak from the surronding red hot steel causes the fuel to reach its autoignition point. Then ta-da the unburnt fuel ignites and expandes and has no where to go so it travels at a high rate of speed to the path of least resistance i.e. to the muffler. Bam the semi ignited fuel reaches the oxygen it was eagerly craving causing a loud pop from the rapid expansion.... Just sayin:P Quote Link to comment
