if you know the cables for shure snapped you could cut the handle off so it can stuff thro the firewall get under neath the car and pull it all down it might open by tugging on the jacket but you can cut the jacket back if not and hope that it broke long. kinda of a shitty deal i dont know if any of my nonsense can help

If it's a 510 you can reach strait up from the left center of the lower valance and work the good release latch with your right hand. I usually gotta lay down in front of my car to reach it. My cable has been broke for 6 months... Lol... I always open it this way.

My 510 did that. I removed the grill, fixed it, put the grill back. done

Just getting the hang of the puter . Thanks for the patiences . I' got a 71 240 . Hood hinges foward . I can't seem to find the cable . Must of snapped close to the catch . Anyway , still puttzin with other things . Wish I had a 510 too . thanks for all the replys ! Good to know I got so many back . THANKS .
