what year 720 if its a early 720 it should go right on on the later it might be a little wider but should still work

I've heard many scare stories of cracked adapters due to over tightening. Is is a good idea or bad one to use Loctite on the screws that hold the adapter to the manifold, rather than over tightening? What color Loctite? If Loctite is not recommended, how about a torque value for the adapter screws? Oil the threads or install dry?

Use loctite regular (not permanent).

 

Or use lock washers, and torque appropriately to size, e.g. M8 bolts only need 10 ft.lbs or so to be fully tight.
