This can't be right..

Recommended Posts

This is my 73 620 with an engine out of an early 70's 510. I've had to redo the harness, and don't have a lot to go by. I used the FSM,and I know how to read a schematic.I hooked up the battery for the first time today, and when I touched the cable to the ground side,it sparked and I could hear the starter motor. I did NOT leave it on very long.

Is this backwards,or am I missing something?

Thanks guys! That was it!

I'm stoked right now,This engine hasn't run in 10 years, and the truck hasn't moved under it's own power in 4 years. It cranks, and the lights work. Tomorrow I'm putting a little gas in it and see what happens.

You guys rock!
