Removing gages

Ok I've removed all of the screws but it seems to be stuck on the cigarrette lighter. Does any one have an idea what I might be missing?

Go in behind and remove the large diameter 'nut' that goes around the lighter and clamps it to the dash.

it's meeting time at work but i will do that right after work... that you so much. is it a actual nut one one of those ones you use a screwdriver to losten by putting it in the slot and smaking it like the front on the wipers and light stitch?

It's a sleeve around the lighter that threads to the end and clamps the dash to the lighter.

ok i caint seem to win i get the lighter out and now i canno seem to get the wiper knob off is there some trick? and are there any other little things you can think of?

Pull out the knob. Grab the shaft (hehe) with some pliers. Push the knob in and turn it. It's spring loaded and is sloted for tabs on the shaft. Once you turn it it should pop right off. Then just unscrew the silver locknut and the switch will pull out of the dash from the back.

 

The headlight switch works the same way.

Pull the wiper knob out to full high position.

 

Take a pair of needle-nose pliers and grab the shaft.

 

Push the knob and twist 90 degrees. It's spring-loaded to lock in place.
