scrubba_16
HEy Guys, I know the 6520 is old but I cannot believe the state of some of the bolts. I have a 79 620 no king pins all balljoints. I am trying to upgrade to discs on the front but can't seem to get the balljoints off from the steering components. Any ideas?? I have heated them bashed them but no budge. Cheers for help if you have any ideas, Quote Link to comment
mklotz70
Are you talking about popping the ball joints and tierods loose? There's more info and vids on this site which you might be able to find using google. It just so happens that I've been working on my site and I just put up a vid on how I do it. http://www.bluehandsinc.com/tie-rod-removal.html Quote Link to comment

Can't upgrade to discs because it will already have discs on it. You may be able to upgrade to late 720 or early Hardbody calipers and vented rotors. Quote Link to comment
mklotz70
I'm guessing that's what he's trying to do.....swap the spindles out. Quote Link to comment

Weird stuff Quote Link to comment

Weird stuff Can we get some good pictures of the drum brake ball joint spindles and brake system. That is a rare item, just curious about them. Quote Link to comment
