datsunfish Posted March 3, 2008 Report Share Posted March 3, 2008 They are all good heads but I would recommend the u67 for a LZ mod.Big valves and ports.Open chamber is good with larger displacement. I had a w58 peanut on a l20b and it liked to ping on lower octane gas.I plan to use my u67 on my LZ24 motor.Coming soon. Quote Link to comment
kiznook Posted March 3, 2008 Report Share Posted March 3, 2008 depends on how the compression numbers look. Might mock it up in the ozdat calculator and see. You're best bet will probably be the U67, like datsunfish said, bigger ports, and open chamber, helps with flow and to maintain a street-able compression ratio I don't see how head troubles could be related specifically to LZ hybrids. It's really just a L motor when all is said and done. Quote Link to comment
