littlejason
The Celica one is 6.7"...which is what I have in my car. Quote Link to comment
erikcarter
The wagons are h190 Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Yes, 510 wagons are H190. Later wagons are H165. Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
The 710 wagons are h165. The 610 wagons were h165 for the 73 year. Starting in 74, they went to h190. Quote Link to comment
Shagy
any updates on this? Quote Link to comment
erikcarter
Well I found out that he was wrong and he doesn't have a LSD. So I guess I am sticking with the stock rearend. The guy I bought it from said he will buy it back, or he said he will weld for me but that is not a option for the street. Besides if my wife drives it she would kill herself with a locked rearend for sure. Quote Link to comment
Shagy
well.... reading on of the yota forums, it seems like there might be some options for a LSD with that rear end...so all may not be lost. Quote Link to comment
erikcarter
Which forum? Because I know that the is the 7.5 inch ring gear that is in the trucks and there is also the 6.25 inch which I have Quote Link to comment
Stupid_fast
Which forum? Because I know that the is the 7.5 inch ring gear that is in the trucks and there is also the 6.25 inch which I have I am pretty sure the celica had an LSD option, otherwise maybe an mk2 supra, cressida, or AE86 rear end would do nicely also. littlejason
It's easy to put an LSD in this rear end. But I don't really know anything about the one in your car. The question is: is it worth the fabrications? Quote Link to comment
erikcarter
If I can get a LSD 3rd member for it I would gladly do the fab work to put it in. For the short term I will just put Lear spring perches on it and then this winter I will take my time and build a four link or a ladder bar setup. Quote Link to comment
littlejason
The 3rd member you're thinking of is 4.30... is that gonna be a prob? This opens the door to aftermarket LSDs, but I still can't decide if it's worth it. Quote Link to comment
erikcarter
I have a good set of 3.90s that I can put onto the LSD. Where do I get one or which year to I have to look for in the junk yards? I got a list of Toyota differential codes so I know what numbers to look for but a idea of which cars they came in would help greatly. Quote Link to comment
littlejason
Toyota Corolla GT-S, 1985 only. And it's optional. Quote Link to comment
erikcarter
Thanks for the info Quote Link to comment
erikcarter
So I haven't given up on my LSD yet! I am calling every junk yard in the area looking for a 1985 Celica Gt, so if anyone sees one please let me know. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Why not buy a new one? The trd units are much cheaper than nismo Quote Link to comment
erikcarter
I found a two way LSD on a dwarf car site for 550. But I am looking for a stock one in the junk yards. Do you know where I could find a new one? Quote Link to comment
