datzenmike
Wat is the main difference between a l20b and a z20 and will it fit my 70 510 and dogleg with the sidedraft webbers. The L20B and the Z20 are basically the same block and crank. The rods and pistons are different but have the same bore and stroke. Everything above the block, (head and manifolds) everything below the block, (oil pan and mounts) and everything forward of the block, (timing gear and cover) are different. You can make a Z20 into an L20B by swapping just the block. Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
Don't you mean "by just swapping the head"? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Probably did. Put all the L20B stuff on the Z20 block. Of course it depends on the Z20 block. If with flattops the compression with an open chamber head is 9.941 Quote Link to comment
