cheap n easy electronic ignition option for 71 510 with the L16??

hey i'm new to datsuns so I figured I'd ask yall first before i wasted time buying the wrong stuff.

 

I've got a 71 with a 1600 and a manual and sidedraft weber.

 

the dist still has points, and while they do work, I would like to put something a bit more reliable in place.

 

I've seen pertronix makes em but just wondering what other options I have.

there is a factory EI "matchbox" dizzy

Pertronix works fine,i think you might have to have a single point distributor though.A matchbox or the other Datsun electronic distributor will be cheaper if you can find one at the wrecking yard.
