Olddatsuns.com has a write up Mike Klotz did using a GM Bushing kit from Napa.After that they last a really long time. Dont Know why they used plastic on the orginal but 521s dont have this proplem To make a whole door Hinge with stopper I think would be expensive I think you could do a rebuild service and maybe a swap(old hinges) type service for people.
