Dirk Diggler
Im removing the trim from my Z, and im having some problems getting it off. What are the best ways you guys use that doesnt put any dings into the metal? Ive tried a putty knife, but the trim is on there pretty good. Just because pics are required, I took the first step to getting rid of the horrid brown. Quote Link to comment

Dirk Diggler
I actually have a sawzall in the back hatch right now haha. I've only used it on the exhaust so far, I'm trying not to fuck anything up too badly. The body trim, like what is on the door in the picture. It's only held on by some push in rods, but they're pretty stuck on Quote Link to comment
motavated
I honestly just just a flat screw driver to take one off the clips... Then the others I used my finger and pushed from the bottom up and the got out pretty fast... Quote Link to comment
ariascarlos1990
First pull the brown rubber part off, then you drill through rivets that hold the metal part of the trim on. Done! Quote Link to comment
Dirk Diggler
I used a screw driver on the fender and it tore it up. I can't get to the rivets inside the door without taking it apart, which I don't want to do. Thanks arias, ill try that tomorrow Quote Link to comment

Remove the rubber strip then you'll have access to the top of the rivets. find the correct drill bit (not to big not to small) and drill through the rivets. The trim will simply fall off.
