jefe de jefes
Does this look like an internally regulated alternator? The one in my car isn't charging and it's an externally regulated one. ^^^^^^^This is a spare one but I'm unsure if I should use it. Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
Looks like the L series one I picked up from a guy some time ago. Quote Link to comment

jefe de jefes
Yeah, it's on a spare L16 I have but wasn't sure if I should run it since it has that plastic cover thing and the one on my car right now doesn't. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
See if it's got a label on it somewhere. If there is an LT it's internally regulated if it's LR it's external. See if there is a part number stamped on the case something beginning with 23100- ????? and I can look it up. Quote Link to comment

Looks like someone changed the bottom alternator mount bolts and they wouldn't tighten all the way down. With time the fan belt came loose and thus my alt wasn't spinning properly. No spin, no charge. Took everything apart , swapped out the bottom mount bolts and buttoned everything up. Seems like it's working fine now. We'll see how she behaves tomorrow. Thanks everybody. ggzilla
That is an LT series LT-135 (35 amp) or LT-150 (50 amp) standard externally regulated You can also tell by the connector markings: FN - external regulator (field/nuetral) LS - internal regulator Quote Link to comment
