Everat
I have a subaru r160 lsd that needs the c-clip mod to work on my 510. Ive done a bunch of searches and found it referenced but havent found someone who did it. If someone has done it or knows of a thread that shows it then I could use the info. I have a buddy with a lathe so if I can get specifics on doing it then Ill try. Quote Link to comment

I have read through the thread on changing out to the subi rear end,I saw no mention of this modification.I now wonder if my lsd will need a mod to work? Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
Perhaps he's talking about a newer VLSD, not the older CLSD. If so, the VLSD probably won't operate correctly with the stock 510 shafts, circlip modded or not, since it's supposed to have one shaft that is longer than the other. Quote Link to comment
kmc63
Good point Matt. I had,nt thought of that. The vlsd's are less money with more gear-ratios closer to my needs but from what I have read no real performance advantage. Quote Link to comment
