datsunaholic
If a Pertronix 1741 works, it will work. It's a cheaper Pertronix clone. The compatibility list is inaccurate since many of those applications used incompatible distributors (dual point, stock EI) or dists that require machining the spindle to remove the blocking ring boss (any large-cap dist from mid-75 on). How well they work, I don't know anyone who has used one. Quote Link to comment
burrito213
wow....i just emailed PETRONIX like 5 minutes ago. there is a thread mklotz did that you can do the conversion... actually, i started a thread to and a lot of great input for conversion. you will need an electronic dizzy, but it also depends on what engine you run. i dont want to do it right now because i dont have the funds for a full positive ground to negative ground. as for the petronix, there are a couple of applications because there is one for each option: - 12v positive gound - 12v negative ground - and others check the web site and it will be a little more clearer. i just emailed them because i wanted to know the correct part number to get for my application > J15 12v pos ground Quote Link to comment

Charlie69
Burrito When we redo your harness you can decide at that time how you want to go with alternator. Piece of cake. Quote Link to comment
