Computer questions again

i am installin an after market tach. Do i wire that into the computer on my 78 620????

No computer in the 620s. Up behind the dash cluster gauges to the left behind the empty spot where the stock tach or clock would go, you'll find an unused plug taped to the wire harness. This is the tach plug and has ground, illumination and tach wires. I'm not at home right now but I can post which wires go where, to night. I seem to remember that the Blue wire works the tach but I'll check for you.

Here are the color codes for the tach/clock plug under the dash, and what they are.

 

Blue is the trigger for the tach.

Red/Blue is the dash lights. On with headlights.

Black/Green is +12 volts when ignition on.

Blue/White is +12 volts at all times for the clock option. (not used)

Black is ground.

my cmputer is on the passenger side kick panel. really big for what it does.
