help a noob

sorry guys, i know this is a really nooby question but here goes..

I'm trying to take off the 35 pin connector on the ecu to do some circuit testing, and I see that the top comes off after undoing a retaining clip, but the bottom will not cooperate. There is a very difficult screw at the bottom, but I'm not sure whether or not to take it off (not that I currently can anyways). Do I have to take this screw off? or is there some other kind of release mechanism that will free the connector?

I tried searching, but I couldnt find anything. I guess this is common knowledge to you guys.

Thanks in advance

I think the bottom part (the rusty thing under the circled screw) is a hinge point and the top is just a clip. Once un-clipped at the top it pulls away and then un-clips from the hinge. It won't be on there loose, it's a firm snug connector. Try rocking side to side while pulling out at the top.

Here's a better pic. There is what looks like a roll pin that the harness connector clips under, the connection is made and there is a locking tab at the top to hold it.

Well my head (wetwear) has reached maximum density so for Christmas I bought myself a 1 TB external hard drive. 1Terra Byte is one trillion or one thousand billion bytes of storage. If you stacked 1 trillion postage stamps on top of each other they would circle the earth at the equator with over 7,000 miles left over. The plug? Why, it fits my skull implant.

ok thanks for the help guys. It is very snug, so much so that I thought I might break something by just forcing it out. My intuition told me if there was a tab up top, there must be one on the bottom. Ok, so there is only one retaining mechanism that I have to undo. Thanks so much! Ratsun is so cool. :D
