imtb
Can anyone let me know which is the hot and ground on the External 280zx electric fuel pump. I am installing one but not sure what is hot or ground. It has one black and on color wire with a stripe. The pump also has two differnt size post for the wire to attach. I am updating my fuel tank, new fuel feed and return lines. Thanks mike Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
I THINK the larger terminal is the positive. The all-black wire is negative. All the 280Z/ZX pumps I've seen had +/- marked near the terminals in the plastic end. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Black will be ground. Green is the power wire I believe. Quote Link to comment
imtb
Ok I got the fuel pump mounted and wired up it working good once I got all the leaks fixed. I pull the tank and had a new pickup install and AN6 fitting for the return and I ran new 3/8 supply and return lines, for whenever I run FI or Boost. I have the fuel pump wired up through Holley Oil pressure switch, so it turns off if no oil pressure. Here is a couple of pics. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
YOu still running those Mikuni motorcycle carbs? Quote Link to comment
dryheat
Really nice work Mike. I always thought that the void behind the fuel tank support bracket was a great spot to put an external pump. Where did you hide your fuel filter at? Quote Link to comment
