Is this a 5 Speed??

I would say 5speed. Can you tip it away and shoot this side closer to the bottom ?

 

Is it sitting on the drain plug on the under side in the above picture? If it is it's most likely a 5 speed.

 

This is a 4 speed below: Note the drain bung points to the rear. The 5 speed points down. Also the 4 spd. reverse switch above the drain (the one without the red tape) is more forward than the picture you posted

Ah.... yes. The drain pointing down is an FS5W60A drain pointing back is an FS5W60L. The 4 and 5 spd. 60 series are all but identical. Except that:...

 

Generally a 5 speed has a 'fuller' body just behind the adapter plate that bolts the front to the tail stock to accommodate the 5th gear. The 4 speed is thinner in this area.
