SSS L18 was mine once and its the real deal and a great motor low milage and imported from japan...

what are the casting numbers on the heads?

is the L18 over bored? if so how much was it bored?

W58 on the head and its standerd bore I know the motor only has 50000 miles total and 500 since o freshend it up

L18 with W53 cylinder is not a true SSS motor

Someone will probably correct me if I'm mistaken.

Closed chamber cylinder head does not make it a SSS motor

I would call it L16\L18 with closed chamber cylinder head

 

L16 with 219 cylinder head is half way.

You still need to verify if it has flat top pistons

And of course the SU carbs

 

 

I own a true L16 SSS motor
