Dav_it
So I'm starting a KA into a 72 510 2 dr project. I'm in Alabama with the KA, and the car is in Colorado where I used to live and hopefully will live again soon. Since I cant work on the 510, I've been working on the engine to get it ready to go for whenever I am reunited with my dime. As I've been tearing down the KA I decided to do some work on the valve cover to make it pretty and to match it with the body colors. Here's the start: Then I shaved off everything but Nissan then cleaned it up in the ol' bead blaster then after lots of sanding primed it then one of my buddies helped me paint it body color. I'm pretty darn happy with the results, and the color choice! So this got me and my buddy talking...we are gonna make a mini-business out of it. Anyone interested in having their valve cover made pretty? We have the experience and equipment to do anything from painting, to shaving letters, to full out polishing the whole cover. Javin
It looks great! Any issues with engine heat and the paint? Quote Link to comment
Dav_it
It looks great! Any issues with engine heat and the paint? Nope, this paint is plenty strong enough for the heat that the valve cover will have Quote Link to comment
Pacific coast Datsun
Nice work it looks great. Should hold up fine to the engine heat. I did mine years ago with no signs of wear....... Quote Link to comment

justin 620
Great choice in color, I hope it doesn't wear down, I'd hate to see that kinda paint job ruined!! I just painted the valve cover for my K.C. and the intake main, exhaust mani, fuel hard-lines, and radiator, as well as some lil parts here and there, all red/gray, looks AMAZING!!:hyper: Quote Link to comment
