Tow Vehicle to Tow a 510

Icehouse was just telling me how a 510 could tow a boat...I countered that you don't need such a big car just to tow stuff.

wow! I dont know if the wow is for the actual towing or the fact that its a 1200 wagon. I have never seen one in person.

the po of my 4 door used to tow his small boat with my 510 it still has the hitch on it

that's a good way to end up jacknifed in the ditch. Just going down a hill would be dangerous.

 

Just because it can pull forward doesn't mean this is a good idea, kids.

You should have put the 510 a little further back to get a lot that weight off of the the tongue.

Ya man that looks scary. the trailer prolly weighs more than either of the cars.I'd ditch the trailer for a dolly or park the 1200 until I had a real tow vehicle. On the other hand, I cant wait to haul my 510 to the track with my sons SR20det 521 pickup.My trailer only weighs 925 lbs and the dime should be around 1800 lbs. With discs all the way around on the 521, it shouldnt be too hairy.

Oh it gets hairy!

I have been towing 240sx's around with my truck with a dolly and its alot of work to keep it from jacknifing around corners. A dolly weighs nothing and a 240sx weighs 2660lbs. so be cautious.
