metalmonkey47
Are you looking for a factory tie down? or just one that will work? Link to comment
Pacific coast Datsun
For the ZX rims most of the Datsuns that ran factory alluminum rims used the same lugs. Hit up a JY & im sure youll find 16. Link to comment
Fivedime650
run the battery in the trunk its easy to do and it looks clean Link to comment
Laecaon
What is the correct battery tiedown? My car came with a bungie cord, and thats all I have ever noticed. Link to comment

You can buy a nice rubber tie down with metal hooks at Autozone for $6 and some change. lol Thats what I use. At least, until I relocate my battery to the back and get a marine deep cycle battery. Pacific coast Datsun
I believe a stock 510 battery bracket is a square made of angle iron & it cradles the battery. It ties into threaded stock which in turn hooks into the battery tray. This is what was on my wagon when i bought it..ignore the bungeee cords..... Link to comment

So funny, because my 510 from many years ago used the bungie cord method, so I've never seen the original one either. My current 510 had no hold downs of any kind. I bought a couple of different ones at the auto parts, and none of them seem to correctly work, either the battery hangs over the support to far for the rods to catch or the battery sits at a funny angle. Lug nuts, I got a set with the wheels, but I think they were for a different car. They do not thread up, they say 7/16 20, anyone know what they fit? Possibly a roadster. Link to comment
Pacific coast Datsun
I made a hold down for my battery out of 1/4 bar w/ bolts welded to the tops. I shaped the bottoms so they fit into the holes on the tray.. the lug nut thread pitch is 12 x 1.25. Youll want the factory nissan lugs for a correct fit. Link to comment
Laecaon
I think my battery might be too big... Link to comment
INDY510
. Those lug-nuts are only availible from Nissan.... (for $5.25 each).......... or go to the junkyard and grab some off a older nissan with alluminum wheels The tire shops sell a longer shank lug-nut that will not tighten down enough.....
