68 front strut inserts

I have a 1968 510 4 door and I would like to replace the front strut inserts. I heard that 68 has shorter struts than later years? I can't seem to find a replacement strut insert anyshere. Maybe someone knows where to get some? Or can I use the inserts from a later year?

Not sure if they make 510 replacements. That's one reason people do the 280ZX swap. Maybe find some thing with the same measurements.

I feel you I have a 68 and the only place I've been able to find parts its ebay... from what I have read the front struts should be the same. You could always remove yours and match it with what ever kragen has got to offer

The 280zx and 300zx are shorter so will fit I believe. Put side by side and measure the difference and add a spacer with this difference in the bottom of the tube. Alternatively I think you can replace the oil with something thicker like 20W motorcycle shock oil to stiffen the action. You'll have to research this.
