Argh, 620 wont run right

Well, after very close examination of the carburetor i have found the following: The set screws are obviously peaned around the edges of the threads on the carburetor so these set screws cannot be removed. I can not move either one without completely stripping out the head. Also one venturi has fallen out, obviously, and the other one is so loose it is all but ready to fall out.

So scrap the idea of salvaging this carburetor. Wich is a shame because it is in such nice shape otherwise.

Gonna run the 79' carb and hope for the best.

Bill

sorry if i hijack this thread, but my 73 is doing the EXACT same thing. its making it so i cant drive it. during the day i can drive ti no problem, at night though it pulls the intermittent backfire and just all around running like crap. but mine has a 32\36 DGV manual choke. i will use this thread though to check all the stuff on mine. i am REALLY leaning toward alt but i dunno.
