WTB: Shift Knob for Dog-Leg 5spd

I have a blue one around somewhere, but I'd like to find a black one, something that bolts on without any rethreading, etc. Has to be cheap (or I'll continue to use the antique glass doorknob that the PO installed).

Antique glass doorknob!? That's so ratsun. Mine is glued on (previous owner). Sorry can't help. I tried looking for something different but no luck.

i went to the junk yard and found like 3-4 of them. dont have any extras but just go to the yard and snag one out of a 620. theres 620s in every junk yard lol. at least in the NW

is the brown one you have like vinyl? if so paint it you know were the gears are.

i saw a dogleg 5 speed shift knob somewhere but it was expensive. I need 2 of them also. Might have to just go custom or something :\

I have one for a dogleg 4 spd. I think its off a vdub.

For $100 I could probably have the pattern laser-etched into the glass doorknob...

 

I know the pattern, but if someone else drives the car I want to know that they know the pattern. My VW has the pattern on the ashtray, maybe I could get a sticker for the dash that would serve the purpose.

OK, does anyone know of other cars (other than Datsuns) that use a dog-leg five speed?

I know the Maserati Biturbo uses one and the wood knobs with pattern on them are nice but pricey.

Problem solved: I bought a wooden Maserati Biturbo shiftknob off of Ebay for $30 something, shipped.
