water leak

I have a water leak on my 521. water shows up on the floor after a rain. what are the usual culprits? thanks

well in my 620 it was the door, but in the 710 its the windshield

around the windshield rubber?

Another possibility is the plenum beneath the wiper arms and cowl grill. If you think about it the rain gets in there and has to have a way out. The 620 has a small hole on each side just forward of the top door hinge but out of sight behind the fender. 521s are likely similar. Check and see if these holes are plugged with leaves. If enough water backs up it will slosh around when driving and may enter the cold air inlet for the heater. My 620 was all rusted out in this area and oozed water in above the clutch peddle.

Mine leaks where the sheet metal comes together below the windshield near both bottom corners. If you look from the outside, there's a seam where the body panels are put together. Over time, the sealant has eroded from inside of it, and now I get water that drips onto my foot or into my mail tray.

in mine it was the front winshield but i have an uncle in the auto glass repair buisness so i got the rubber resealed!!

but yea check under the dash for the winshield rubber i had to sit in mine while it rained to find it!! haha
