Difference in front valences

Is the 68 510 a bastard year when it come to a front valence? When I put it on my 69 510 the front turn signals don't work in the pockets, so what am I missing? Thanks and if anybody has a front one to fit a 69, send me a pm :cool:

Yes, different size signals.

actually 68-69 should be the same....then 70-73 are the same....

Are u sure the valance is a 69 I'm pretty sure 68 and 69 are the same and 70 to 73 are diff they have bigger turn signals

The front core support has been replaced by maybe a later model, so that might be the problem also. I don't know the history of the car, as I just picked it up over in NC last weekend. So as I find out more about the car I'm finding out more of the screw ups that might have been done to the car. Thanks for the info, it helps out alot.

Whoops, yeah, they changed in Sept/Oct of 69, so should be the same for 68 and 69. There are also other subtle differences...
