Chris#51EPGraham
Check Greyhound Bus Lines Freight for shipping costs on items like those. DAW I looked into Greyhound - sample shipping cost for Quickor rear A/R bar @ 22lbs, 46" x 23" x 3" from Annapolis to San Diego: $46.85. USPS priority mail, same item to your door instead of a bus station in a bad neighborhood: $53.70 or $49.63 paid online. An added problem with Greyhound is that there's a fuel surcharge in addition to amount quoted using the calculator. The chart explaining surcharge rates is incomprehensible, so it could easily end up being no cheaper than Priority mail or UPS, but a major pain in the ass for seller and buyer alike. Even if it is cheaper, what do we spend driving 20 or 30 miles to a bus station just to save five or ten bucks? I always check UPS and USPS Priority because one or the other can be the winner depending on package size. The exception is little stuff that fits into USPS flat rate boxes because that's always predictably fast and cheap if the items will fit. Link to comment
Chris#51EPGraham
Yikes! I got mixed up and forgot to look for a second page on this thread. My apologies to people I ignored. See updates to original ad...some new items listed and now has all-included prices shipped for many small to medium sized items where I'm hopefully able to predict the cost correctly. Jefe de jefes...I don't know why the USPS calculator isn't quoting me rates like that. They might have gone up a lot in recent months, maybe? The fed.gov is way in the red along with the PO as we all know, and they're aggressively working to rake in the bucks in many new and creative ways. Did you know about the billions of new 1099 forms that now must be filed when businesses purchase goods as opposed to just services? That was inserted amongst the thousands of pages of the health care bill - another example of newly aggressive fundraising. DREWSDIME: sorry to ignore ya, didn't mean to. My heavily edited OP now gives shipped prices for those to anywhere because they're USPS flat rate. Link to comment
Chris#51EPGraham
Bump! Please email me directly at: cgr8818021@bluefrog.com Updates: I will part out the L20b I have if somebody buys a valuable shippable part like the head. I do not want to turn a good running engine into scrap metal for a $10 part. Thanks for your understanding. Please e-mail me directly for photos. Photobucket just "upgraded" to flashplayer-only and I can no longer use it. Transferring it all over to Flickr, but that may take a while under current market conditions (not selling anything). Chris#51EPGraham
Bump. I've updated the list to reflect what's sold. Not that much overall because it's a long list. Thanks to all you guys in TX, AZ, CA and WA. Link to comment
AZhitman
Chris - I have a 68 4-door, and I'm considering the "510 strut housings shortened for Rabbit/scirocco inserts, CO, cut/rewelded"... Basically, I'd then need to source shorter springs and inserts, correct? (Sorry for the newbie question - I have 5 classic Datsuns, and 4 other cars, all modded, and I lose track of which suspension requires what! :) ) Also considering: Bump steer spacers, 1" thick cast aluminum w/correct length grade 8.8 bolts G-Machine delrin/aluminum bushings second set, USED Should be good for my application, no? ALSO, please tell me you have ONE '68 skinny side marker? Have been looking forever for one. Link to comment

Chris#51EPGraham
News flash! I just shipped a boxed oil pan full of other parts from here (Maryland) to Corona, CA for $18.45 via USPS parcel post and it arrived in 2 days - parcel post can take up to 7 days and UPS-like tracking is available for a mere 80 cents extra. The low price tradeoff is a gamble that it might be fast or slow. USPS parcel quotes run 30 - 40% cheaper than priority or UPS. Link to comment

Chris#51EPGraham
I have heard people grumble about nfed-ex but they are less than ups and I have not had a problem. Yeap, I'm one of the grumblers. On the recieving end I've had FedEx lose an order for weeks and then deliver to a neighbor, and I used to get my neighbors' FedEx stuff all the time. What got me about parcel post is that it was much faster than promised at a price nobody can beat. And it's reliable. Even if it takes a full 7 days the low cost can make some trans-continent deals do-able which otherwise wouldn't be. Link to comment
