Datson 200B GX
hay, Iv Got a question. doz any body know whats better a weber or a twin carby? coz i am trying to get some more power out of my datson 200b L20B engine. im looking at getting one of the two but i have no idea whats the difference. and if anyone has any weber's, carburetor ect.. for sale i would love to here from you. thanks Quote Link to comment
skunk
so im guessing you mean like a 32/36 weber or dule side drafts, thing is weber makes dual side drafts too.you can also run them in a single side draft. With any side draft carb dual or single your going to have to buy a new intake manifold. the 32/36 is going to be a bit easyer to find and cheeper and will give a good power gain over the stock carb, not a lot but much more response. Also its going to hook up to your stock manifold via a adapter plate. As far as power goes the side draft set up wins, but cost more money and can be harder to get set up just right. Im no mechanic and im still very much new to alot of this stuff but this is what info iv gathered. im sure some one with alot more know how will fill in the blanks, hope this helped Quote Link to comment

hang_510
hay, Iv Got a question. doz any body know whats better a weber or a twin carby? better for what? (better grammar :P ) performance = duals  or are you asking better twins(dual) between SU's / Mikunis / Webers??? Quote Link to comment
racerx
A lot will depend on how thick your wallet is. 32/36 cheapy but good economy and okay performance. Sidedrafts, you wll need to buy an intake and linkages, will cost you a money..check out redline or weber direct or Pierce manifold for price. With that said, a 32/36 is easy maintance, sidedrafts a little more difficult. Quote Link to comment

Datson 200B GX
This is my Datson 200b gx I love this car and its the cleanest one of it kind iv seen on the gold coast. I am in the process of restoring it and thinking of getting an twin carburetor of an 180b sss or a weber. but I dont really know much about the two. this car was a one owner and its got all service history. I hoping that some people can teach me about weber's and carburetors? and is it worth getting an weber or a carburetor? or should i just put an new engine in? and power wise whats better an weber or an carburetor? MicroMachinery
It seems as though you're not sure how to post pics. In the "General Discussion" section, there's a thread that shows you how to post pics for us. Check it out. You should use the "Search" function to answer many of your questions. Do some reading. I've been visiting this site for over a year(only technically a member since August), and I still can spend hours on end reading pages and pages of precious archived info. Enjoy! 67411sss
Try http://nzdatsun.com/ It's in NZ (a little closer to home) there might be some good stuff about the 200b on there. I think a simple twin su carb set up (the same as a 180bsss) would work best for what you need(webers cost more and are harder to get running just right). Rory Quote Link to comment
