521Dave
Front suspension has heavy wobble when im braking hard, worn bushings...king pins? What to look for? Drives straight, turns smooth, only happens when im braking hard, gradual braking smooth...what gives? Feels like a loose wheel but its not, Suggestions anyone? Thanks, Quote Link to comment

MicroMachinery
If it's more of a shudder than a wobble, then chances are your steering components are worn. How do your tie rod ends look? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
If you 'feel' it through the brake pedal the drums may be out of round. The shoes have to move out and in as the drum turns and this motion is transferred back through the hydraulic fluid to the master and the brake pedal. Feels like a shudder. Braking transfers weight to the front suspension which lowers and slightly changes the camber and toe. If the front has been lowered and/or is out of alignment, heavy braking can add to an existing small problem and cause a shimmy. Worn suspension parts may also add to this. Quote Link to comment
521Dave
When I first got the 521 I rebuilt all brake components and had the rotors turned so I know its not the brakes, no pedal pulse. I will check the steering because I do feel the wobble through that. And yeah the suspension components are a bit aged. Thanks Quote Link to comment
sssr20det510
if its in the pedal its usually rears if its in the wheel its usually fronts. just because the brakes have been done dosent mean the rotors(or drums) couldnt warp. When you come up to a stop slow hit the brakes easy and take your hands off the wheel if it moves when your braking they are prob warped Quote Link to comment
sssr20det510
and i have seen it when someone machines a rotor and dosent have it chalked up right in the lathe it will still have a wobbel Quote Link to comment
521Dave
No pulse in the pedal, but now when I drive it pulls to the left under breaking....I think I need to order some new bushings they are old. Quote Link to comment
