So I had a thread for my blue 620 but im selling it and keeping the kc so I thought I might as well make a thread for it.

So I got this thing in long viwe WA, I got stuck up there when I got it because the alignment was so bad I could barely control the vehicle. Had to wait till the next day to get it fixed. Didn’t help a ton the ball joints and tie rods are shot so it was still a hard long drive back to Eugene. I originally got it for jessi but she got the 710 so its not mine.

First thing I did when I got it home was get that canopy off.

The truck has a L20b with 5 speed it has a u67 head and weber carb. the carb needed a rebuild but it runs good now. Me and Nuke fixed the upper ball joints over the weekend but I still need to get to the tie rods. also got new wheels and tires over the weekend (wheels thanks to nuke :D ). I ripped the carpets out a couple weeks ago put in the steering wheel from my blue 620 and made a center console from a dodge neon fit in the truck, Its nice to have cup holders.

I like the center counsole looks clean. how much bondo is on the rockers? :unsure: all in all looks like a pretty clean rig

not much, who ever did it over did it on the paint. all 4 spots smaller then a dollar bill each.

 

Oh and i got a stereo put in, got to do a little bit of clean up work and get the kick panels on and ill take some pics.

 

Next on the list brakes and tie rods.

Then im going to be looking for some diff bucket seats and makeing mounting brackets. The seats and the way they are mounted now both suck.

As soon i the weather starts geting warm and staying warm im going to pull the bed off and find a better one.

Looking better.lol I do like the inside and the middle console pretty sick. It sucks i never see u driving around eugene im in eugene everyday driving my datsun around. We gotta meet up sometime or something. And i know what you mean by skunktruckin lol gotta love Oregon. But we deff gotta hang out some time. Truck is looking better though.

yeah well with me working grave yard my only driveing time is about 9pm-10pm and 7am - 11am the rest of the day im sleeping. and on my weekend we have been driving the 710. but now that my truck is the only one with a stereo im sure its going to be geting alot more drive time in.

So Alpine deck

JBL 5 1/2 up front. For some reason the spacers i had to use to get them to fit keep me from mounting the speaker covers.so my fingers in the shot.Im going to make kick panels that have the spacers molded in.When i make the new spacers for the kick panels i will make them so i can put the covers on.

Infinity 6X9s in the back. there in boxes for now. Im going to make new panels for the back that the infinitys will fit in for just under the little kc windows.

oh yeah ill be geting 2 JBL 10 subs.

but im not going to get them till i finish the floors.I want carpet on the floor .dynamat on the floors, doors, kick panels and across the back under the windows.Also need to make the door, kick and rear panels befor i put subs in.

So not any time soon to be honest

Awesome trunk SKuck. Gotta love those KC's for there speaker room in the back :) You going to lower it? Paint?

I am going to lower it, but not alot. And as far as paint i do have some ideas but i need new doors a new bed and id like to get a bed cover the floors on the inside need some patching, and id like to rebuild the engine and tranny. all of these things will be coming befor paint.Unless i just end up sanding off any rust i can this summer and painting it primer gray just to keep her from rusting away.

So i think iv got a blown head gasket.Im burning oil. i tossed some of that honey stop leak in there. Seemed to help a bit.Still looks like iv got some water/oil mix coming out of my number 3 spark plug. And when i shut the thing off after a bit of a drive a hole lot of white smoke comes out of the hood, ( 2 times i stoped driveing it).

So because this is my daily and i need a runng car i think im just going to buy a running l20 slap it in and do a nice re build on the l20 thats in there now.
