Nice140Y
Has anyone ever done a 4 piston caliper upgrade from a Toyota (yes, Toyota) 4 runner. I believe they are called S13W. If you have, please share the info. If not, and you think you can research it more. Please let us know. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
sssr20det510
If I remember right they bolt straight on zx struts Quote Link to comment
LeX
They bolt onto S30 struts... I dont know about S130. I had em on my 240z Quote Link to comment
sssr20det510
I know they have a 80mm or 90mm spacing between the mounting bolts same as 280zx, the 200sx v6 struts have a 100mm spaceing that works with the z32 calipers and 350z calipers Quote Link to comment
qwik510
They bolt onto S30 struts... I dont know about S130. I had em on my 240z Yep. Common upgrade on an S30. Not sure about the 510 struts or the ZX struts. Pretty sure they are S12W. Quote Link to comment
sssr20det510
I know they wont work on stock 510 struts, the spacing is to small. Its been a while sence i mesured but I think stock 510 is 80mm 280zx is 90mm and 200sx is 100mm 1 Quote Link to comment
ppeters914
Don't have the info here, but common upgrade for 240Z folks. If you Google it, you should find a how-to. Pete Quote Link to comment
SHADY280
as far as the yota calipers on a 280zx strut. they bolt the wrong way round. the threads are in the wrong spot, but spacing is the same. you would still need the 300zx rotors, but if you built some brackets it may work. Unclejesse88
If you build brackets anything can bolt up. Also note there are a few different toyota 4x4 calipers. Ones for solid rotor, some for vented rotor, and a v6 vented rotor caliper that uses larger pistons. When all is said and done, some people don't like to use them because they are huge heavy calipers Quote Link to comment
72240z
Ya I like the non vented 79-85 yoda 4x4 calipers because its a straight bolt up but if your going to use a bracket or adapter there are SOOOOO many better choices. LOTS of late model cars even mid range cars are rocking some serious brakes. Weight in that area is important too because its unsprung weight. Quote Link to comment
Master-O-Turbonics
S12+8 caliper for solid rotors bolts on to a first gen Z spindle with some modification to the dust plates.... Quote Link to comment
