dezertranger
i just bought my first datsun today, it needs a grill, i wanna buy this but what does it mean by no trim? http://info.automotix.net/bodyparts/1973-nissan-620_pickup-grilles-639.html Link to comment
skunk
on that grill i think it means no datsun badge on the front, on the later grill it would be the rings around the headlights, im just guessing, i have both grills and thats all i can think of thats on there. im sure one of the datsun pro's will give you a for sure answer Link to comment
datzenmike
There is a small trim piece that (5) bolts to the very front underside of the hood. Your hood likely has it still there. It almose always gets painted over when painting the truck but it is actually part of the grill assy. Link to comment
moparvwfreak
early grilles are much nicer than the late ones, but thats my own opinion. i would hit the yards and try to find an early one. Link to comment
dezertranger
thanks for the replies, im gonna call the pic-a-parts but if i do have to buy this grill where can i get the headlight bezels? Link to comment
moparvwfreak
its a one peice deal. the only thing missing, as Datsunmike said, is the trim that bolts to the hood. check on the classifieds here. someone has to have an early grille laying around they would sell thats near you. i have a couple but shipping a grille is not very easy. datzenmike
The newer grill is more break resistant but not as nice looking (IMHO) The new one is used on the '78 model year. Link to comment
