521newbie
I have a dogleg that I'll be putting in my 521 this summer. It needs rebuilt and I am going to give it a shot. Does anyone have a kit they recommend using for the rebuild? It is a fs5w63a. Thanks. Quote Link to comment

Dime Dave
Nissan still sells synchro (baulk) rings and the coupler hub detents and springs. Purchased some for my dogleg rebuild this past Summer. Quote Link to comment

haubstr
In the Dime Quarterly Volume 7 Issue 1 there was an article on the rebuild. You can get a rebuild kit at The Transmission Exchange in Portland for about $58. That only includes all the bearings. I'm sure when call them they can get the synchro's if you need them. There number is 800-776-1191. They did us OK. You will need a press and bearing pullers of course. I'm in Marysville just north of Sac if you wanted that issue for the rebuild... kinda oily though Haubstr Quote Link to comment
DRIVEN
I can vouch for Transmission Exchange. I buy all my kits/parts from them. They actually "assemble" many, if not all of their kits. In many cases there are heavy duty options on bearings (more rollers) so be sure to ask. For a couple extra bucks per bearing it's a worthwhile upgrade. Quote Link to comment
