tnip Posted October 30, 2007 Report Share Posted October 30, 2007 it's funny that that figaro keeps showin up... the first time i saw it was on this site where somebody posted a pic of it. and at the time i didn't think much of it. a month or so later my parents trip to london had come up so they were gone for 2 weeks. my dad took various pictures for me of different cars that he thought would interest me, and some that he thought were neat. anyway they had seen a figaro parked on the street and snapped a pic and he said it didn't have any badging on it. he asked all his relatives in london and nobody recognized it. he made this big deal about this car that he had seen that he couldn't figure out, he said he knew it was old, that he hadn't seen anything like it before and showed me the pic. i immed said it was a figaro and that it nissan and made in the early 90's, he didn't believe me. so i pulled up the info on wikipedia and showed him. anyway i just thought it was funny that he thought he had finally found something that i had never seen or heard of and it just happened that i had seen it on here a month or so before their trip. There is a guy south of me that had a '59 sedan. Real rusty! Saddly my pockets weren't deep enough to bring that puppy back from the grave, and neither were his, so i imagine it will rot into oblivion. The owner was a kookie fellow who had a TON of the weird stuff. Citroen 2CV's, early DKW (audi), even an english ford escort which I almost bought. It almost looked like a mini surburban (it was WAY different that US escorts). He was a very excentric guy, and I fear those cars will rot away in the woods behind his house. Link to comment
