Ridge Racer
I'm lookin' to buy an '84 720 4x4 with a bad transmission. I found a rebuilt tranny out of a '91. Would it fit? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The '84 would have a FS5W71B the '91 a FS5W71C, a much stronger tranny. If the '91 is a KA(E) motor (and not DE or a VG), I think the bolt pattern would be the same as the Z24 motor. The '84 has the divorced transfer case. As long as the '91 isn't a 4X4 it should fit. Icehouse put a Z24 front tranny case on his KA24E motor I think. Quote Link to comment

Ridge Racer
Thanks. And, what's FWIW mean? Quote Link to comment
