Nas
I was warned that 74 620's had one year only ebrake cables. Can anyone confirm this as being true or tell me its not? Is there anyone with a parts catalog that can check? The ebrake is the last piece I need before I can start driving my 620. Its getting so cold that riding bikes isnt fun anymore, and the metro bus just can never be sexy. Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
You don't need an ebrake cable to drive your 620. Just park it in gear:thumbup: Quote Link to comment

Just park it in gear:thumbup: I live in a part of the city where every street is a 45degree angle hill. Ever been stopped at a light with traffic stacked a block deep on you bumper with no ebrake? No good! And I know how to clutch brake, but I don't want to burn it up. Fuck the bus! So, about those cables..... Quote Link to comment
kaoss
I think that I see one in this pick of my 77 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Looks like the part number changed in '74-'77 to 36500 B8001 from 36500 B5000 but it shows compatible. This could be a different supplier or an upgrade but will still fit and work? Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
A company I worked for in another life had an antique ford truck. The brake pedal wasn't hydraulic. It was connected to the rears by cable! Just like an e brake. I once saw an old car that has a chrome warning sign on the back that said: WARNING! FOUR WHEEL BRAKES Quote Link to comment
