The datsun kid
so is it true that you can take the front end off a say 78' 620 and it will bolt up to a 76' 620 only 2 reasons im asking is cuz my cuzin said you can. and the second reason im asking is cuz when i buy a 620 i dont want drum brakes i heard they're a pain in the ass and they dont work so well. Quote Link to comment
sick620
all 620s have the same body and chassis just minor differences between them so yes... Quote Link to comment
moparvwfreak
ok, we need clarification here. are you talking body panels? or are you talking brake components? body panels.... yes. direct bolt over no issues. brakes... no. they can be made to work with either adapter brackets to mount calipers onto the King Pins, OR cutom upper control arms with stock later lowers and steering knuckles. i asked this same question when i first got my 73 620. from what i understand the mounts for the upper arms are set back a few inches on the later models than the earlier non disc setups. someone else on here SHOULD be able to tell you exactly what the difference is as i am not exactly sure. The datsun kid
the brake components. i know the body panels fit(had to repalce the bed and fenders on my cuzins 74' they wher off a 77 the fenders that is. dont know what year the bed was off of)so ur saying they wont just bolt up? thaat sucks. o well i have plenty of money and time but thx though. BEEBANI
the '78-up front suspension is completely different, the upper arms mount at an angle, and the lower arms are longer. I make upper control arms that will allow you to run the newer front suspension with little to no modification. Quote Link to comment
The datsun kid
that sucks but hey when i actually get a 620 (hoping to find one soon) i might have to ask you some qestions lol Quote Link to comment
