Idiot is letting him off easy.

 

The Nissan oil sender is not metric thread. It's actually BSP British Pipe Thread or BSPT (Taper) I forget. If you drill out to an oversize and use BSP tap size you should be able to get a BSP brass adapter fitting that will allow the stock oil pressure sender to screw into it. Got to be cheaper than another block of unknown history.

Those are great ideas but after this guy put the JB Weld everywhere he drilled another hole driectly above the old one. The machine shop here in West Sac tried to drill both of them out so they could put in a cast iron plug and the metal was too paper thin. Drilling grazed the oil resevoir area.....so i think I'm SOL. Luckily I found a block from all the great responses I've gotten from the Ratsun members.
