Can I remove the extra hoses from the 620 gas tank?

I think my car has been leaking air from the gas tank hoses. Will removing the intake emission hose and the extra hoses from my 620 gas tank make any difference? If I dont need them then remove them of course! What do they do anyways...

Here is pic of a 620 gas tank I found. Any help is appreciated. :)

The way I see it, you have a port on the tank that goes up front to feed the engine and another that returns from the front. Then there is a line that runs up to the fill spout and acts as a vent when you fill up. The last line runs up and ties to a check valve and actually vents the preasure in the tank, because the gas cap is "non vented". They all seem to have a purpose.

On my 521 the evap line spout was rusted, so I had it welded shut. So the only hoses I have coming off of my tank are the fill hose, the overflow hose, and the fuel line.

I have the old OEM style gas cap, which I am sure doesn't seal 100% so it allows breathing.

I've had no problems!
